Background
My eclectic background includes studying yoga in India at 18, teaching English in France, waiting tables in Tokyo, bartending in Germany and law school at the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco, where Kamala Harris was my classmate (no joke). Upon meeting my future husband I left law school to found a rock-climbing guiding company in Meteora, Greece. OK so I didn’t end up being the president of the United States but that career trajectory suited me better. 
For 14 years I managed communications for Boulder-based educational travel company Asia Transpacific Journeys, overseeing print and online communications for accounts that included the World Wildlife Fund, the Harvard Museum of Natural History, and the Harvard, Princeton and Yale alumni travel associations. I was also the Communications Director at Boulder-based Where There Be Dragons, a student travel and study-abroad company, where I was known for WordPress migrations and SEO that increased organic traffic by 137% in one year, resulting in over 11,000 more visits. Determined to realize my entrepreneurial dreams, I founded Evolved Communications in 2013 and have enjoyed great success with many wonderful clients, including Earthbound Farm and WildEarth Guardians.
Rock climbing throughout the world with friends and family has allowed me to develop an appreciation of the incredible beauty of nature, and continues to be a source of inspiration every day of my life. I am a veteran of big walls in Yosemite, first ascents in Europe, alpine routes in Rocky Mountain National Park, classic trad in Eldorado, and sport climbs throughout the world (especially Boulder Canyon).
I have been married to the love of my life, Micha, for over 30 years. We live in gorgeous Boulder, Colorado. Our son Johannes a.k.a. Fritz graduated with degrees in Business and Sustainability at the Leeds School of Business at CU Boulder.
I love family, friends, rock climbing, surfing, cooking, dancing, literature, poetry, travel, and crushing it at Evolved Communications. I am also the six-time defending Bierstein-holding champion at the Bohemian Biergarten in Boulder 🙂 If you can hold a liter of beer up longer than I can I’ll buy you a cold one.
